June 18, 2020 - Part Time CAM Marina Manager: $36 per hour

Areas: Miami

Part time CAM marina manager in the South Miami area, 10 hours per week, immediate opening. Must have marina management experience. The most important aspects of the operation are maintaining the highest level of customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities for the facility and a staff of 2 onsite employees. Other duties include accounting, staffing, reporting, legal compliance and emergency preparedness and response.

Requirements:

* 3-5 years of community association management experience.

* Marina/boat handling experience is a must.

* Bachelor’s degree preferred.

* Knowledge of boating and boating terms is highly desirable.

* Marina certified preferred.

* Ability to swim.

* Knowledge of dock construction and repair preferred.

* CPR and first aid certification.

* Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize Word, Excel and Outlook.

* Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.

* Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities.

* Ability to learn and develop new skills.

* Ability to problem solve.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Excellent interpersonal, administrative, telephone and other communications skills.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the association management of berthing, mooring, storage and servicing of boats within the marina, owners, renters and vendors to the association documents.

* Making sure customers safely depart and return to the marina.

* Regular inspection and maintenance to provide a clean and safe facility.

* Manage, train and supervise dock staff.

* First line of customer service for incoming boats.

* Responsible for daily operations of marina docks.

* Ensure that boaters observe all marina rules and regulations.

* Availability to work overtime when required.

* Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

* Monthly reconciliation of management fees.

* Monthly invoicing for slip payments/charges.

* Approval and categorization of all expenses.

* Preparation of annual operating budget.

* Manage operations and expenses in accordance with final approved budget.

* Ensure that all staff are trained in emergency procedures.

* Be reasonably available in the case of emergency.

* Follow with insurance, management, customers, and law enforcement as need in the aftermath of an emergency.

* Bi weekly submission of payroll, overtime approval as needed.

* Annual performance reviews of all year round staff.

Legal and Policy Compliance:

* Operate the marina in accordance with all local, state and federal laws.

* Operate the marina consistent with and maintain the marina’s standing as Clean Marina.

* Adhere to all association dock policies and procedures.

* Inventory and maintain emergency equipment.

* Knowledge of maritime laws.

* Regularly review and update the marina's emergency procedures.

* Address safety, security and liability concerns as soon as possible. These include lighting issues, gate and camera failures, trip hazards and fire hazards. Job #12730
