August 26, 2017 - Assistant Resort Manager

Areas: Fort Lauderdale

Assistant resort manager for an oceanfront community in Fort Lauderdale. Must be willing to get involved in all aspects of running a resort, from resolving guest complaints to coordinating board elections. Must become familiar with all aspects of the business. This position includes working on weekends.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Second in command to the resort general manager.

* Oversee all aspects of the day to day office operation, including documentation, business continuity, etc.

* Monitoring and management of bookkeeping, working closely with the bookkeeper, treasurer and external accounting service providers.

* Liaison to the information technology service providers. Become the focal point for all related functions.

* Perform general system administration duties, including resort wifi network.

* Liaison to vacation clubs, exchange companies and local associations.

* Supervise and coordinate owner communications, including mailings, emails and social media.

* Work with the general manager in collecting annual maintenance fees.

* Provide administrative support for the annual meeting and election process.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

* Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. College degree a definite plus, especially in hospitality.

* Experience in all major aspects of an office environment.

* Extensive accounting knowledge, including bookkeeping, financial statements, reserves, etc..

* Knowledge and experience with reservation systems, credit card processing systems, etc.

* Computer fluency is essential.

Preferred Skills:

* Knowledge of Windows based computer environments, including Windows Server, Word, Excel, etc.

* Basic knowledge of computer networks, including wifi administration, etc.

* Financial experience, including familiarity with QuickBooks is essential.

* Experience with Triton management system is a plus.

* Timeshare knowledge and experience is also a plus.

* Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and guest relations. Job #10810
