November 19, 2019 - Maintenance Supervisor: $55,000-$60,000

Maintenance supervisor for a Fort Lauderdale association, CAM license not required. Must have a minimum of 5 years in hotel, residential or commercial communities as a supervisor.


* Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the basic techniques of electrical, HVAC and general maintenance.

* Perseverance to complete work efficiently with attention to detail and quality.

* Time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters.

* Excellent planning and leadership abilities.

* Understanding of budgeting and performance management.

* Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.

* Strong technical knowledge of all building systems.


* Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.

* Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.

* Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.

* Inspect and maintain building systems and docks (HVAC, plumbing and electrical).

* Develop maintenance budget and ensure compliance.

* Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.

* Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

* Perform preventive maintenance in lighting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

* Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.

* Ensures grounds, pool, docks and clubhouse are properly maintained.

* Supervise and participate in necessary painting and general repair to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, windows and general maintenance.

* Order and receive supplies and equipment.

* Plan and oversee all maintenance and repair work.

* Coordinate all service contracts including waste removal, HVAC and other systems.

* Develop a work order system and prepare appropriate reports.

* Supervise regular and special projects for repair and capital projects.
