Areas: Fort Lauderdale

General manager for an association in Hallandale Beach. Must be experienced and highly motivated. Must demonstrate leadership, management and strategic direction to ensure the community is well maintained and operated in accordance with the association's mandate, goals and objectives. Will provide general administration and community service management to the association. As the key liaisons between the board, contractors, vendors and support staff, the manager must demonstrate highly advanced competencies and professional management skills in conducting all business and operations of the association. The goal is to ensure professional association management and excellent community services and relations are delivered and sustained under the leadership of the new general manager.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree.

* 10 years of experience in condominiums or the hospitality industry or relevant management experience.

* Must possess a strong managerial background as a community association manager managing community operations, staff and service contracts.

* Must have a strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

* Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, leases, regulations or documents with a similar degree of complexity.

* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

* Excellent organization and time management skills.

* Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and similar project management software.

Responsibilities:

General Administration

* Provide general administration and community service management.

* Provide administrative support services to the board.

* Set up annual meetings and assist with board meetings.

* Manage resident's relations and ensure adherence to the rules and regulations.

* Assist with communications.

* Maintain all official records and files and manage all applications and references of prospective owners and lessees.

* Assist the committees.

* Retain and employ attorneys, accountants, tax consultants and others.

Contractual and Physical Administration

* Supervise maintenance of the common elements and improvements.

* Conduct routine inspections and make recommendations to the board concerning the community.

* Solicit, review, negotiate and supervise contracts.

Financial Management Services

* Provide accounting and financial management services.

* Keep financial records and maintain under generally accepted accounting procedures.

* Collect all common expenses, charges and assessments.

* Submit monthly detailed statements of receipts, expenses, disbursements, financial charges, reserves and bank reconciliation.

* Prepare a proposed annual budget for the new fiscal year, designed to reflect anticipated expenses for each month, including the setting aside of reserves for future replacements.

* Maintain appropriate records of all insurance coverage.

* Keep detailed and accurate records for the receipts and expenditures affecting the common elements, specifying and itemizing the common expenses incurred.

* Assist the accountant in performing audits, filing local, state and federal forms, paying taxes as required.
