Areas: Sarasota

Vacation rentals specialist for a resort in Sarasota. Will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to all guests and owners throughout the vacation rental process. This position involves a variety of duties at the front desk of the resort office. The person in this position is often the first person our guests see when coming to the resort, therefore it is very important the person be professional, hands on and very pleasant under all circumstances. The ideal candidate will be cheerful, customer oriented and willing to work as a team. Phone callers and walk in visitors will be inquiring about staying at the resort, so the reservation specialist will need to know the resort well and offer the potential guests an overview of the accommodation.

Qualifications:

* At least 2 years of vacation rental industry or hotel front office experience preferred.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

* Ability to interact successfully with customers at all levels.

* Ability to multi task, prioritize be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.

* Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

* Booking Reservations: One of the most important duties is to turn inquiries into reservations.

* Serving Guests' Needs: This includes responding to guest requests and may involve calling in maintenance or housekeeping.

* Check Ins and Check Outs: Facilitate rental check ins and ensure a smooth rental experience for guests.

* Coordinate Cleaning and Maintenance Requests: Identify the units that will be vacated and need to be cleaned and assign the housekeeping staff their cleaning assignments.

* Log Daily Events and Details: Each event of the day is tracked in a logbook so subsequent shifts will have knowledge of what has transpired. This includes maintenance requests, guest complaints, and reservation requests that need follow up activity.

* Take reservations for rentals, including sending and tracking all guest rental agreements.

* Track and follow up on funds due on reservations.

* Update the database with photos of rentals.

* Daily follow through on emails and phone inquiries, as well as taking calls from guests and owners requiring assistance. Job #12438
