Areas: Fort Lauderdale

Community manager for a 300+ unit association in Northern Broward County. Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires a thorough knowledge of community association management. Will supervise the administrative and maintenance oriented onsite employees and all vendors.

Requirements:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

* Proficiency in proofreading.

* Type with accuracy and speed.

* Flexibility with respect to hours, attend evening board meetings as required.

* Possess and use good interpersonal skills with other employees and the public.

* Bilingual English/French helpful, but not required.

* Familiarity with Florida Statutes 719 and 723.

* Must be punctual, efficient, an independent worker, a detail oriented person and possess good work habits.

* Must be able to perform and manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities concurrently with a positive attitude and approach.

* Act and dress professionally in the work environment.

Responsibilities:

* Confer with board members to collaborate and determine management priorities.

* Maintain good public relations and interact with board members, committee chairs, owners, vendors and coworkers in a positive, respectful and professional manner at all times.

* Attend board meetings, present manager report and assist in administrative tasks.

* Update the board CC&R policies and procedures and provide information on current industry developments.

* Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules for staff and expedite workflow.

* Insure that the administrative assistant coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, records and transcribes or insures that minutes of meetings are recorded and transcribed.

* Obtain bids and oversee activities of contract services such as landscapers, exterminators, trash collectors, major repair contractors, utility service repairers and swimming pool management personnel.

* Perform regular, frequent onsite inspections to effectively direct the activities of onsite staff, including maintenance and janitorial staff in the routine repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

* Provide authorization for payment of invoices.

* Maintain contact with insurance carrier, fire protection, police department and other agencies to ensure that the association is complying with codes and regulations.

* Evaluate the financial status of the operating account of the association and prepare annual budgets for review. Job #12339
