Preparing for a job interview can include being ready to answer typical interview questions and thinking of some examples and achievements from your experience to share with the Search Committee. Good communication skills are crucial during the interview process. Listen carefully to the interviewers questions and be honest, thorough and concise with your responses. Use professional language and try to avoid slang words. Make eye contact as you answer the questions. Confidence in your qualifications and experience is a great attitude, but overconfidence and arrogance arent attractive to the prospective employer. Even if you feel nervous during the interview, try to be calm and confident. If you know you are capable of managing the association, the Search Committee may feel the same way too.
